THINGS PEOPLE SAY ... Well, where has modesty ever got you ?!
BEST EVER RECOMMENDATION
RECEIVED !!! ...... I like to think I've done all the things this lady thanks
us for, but really - the job is only half done. But what she writes is how I'd
like to have the place .... and quite soon.
Received October 2007 ...
"Just had to write and tell you what a great time we had at SmugglerCottage in Looe, The Cottage was just perfect and we loved all the little extra that you included, never before have we been so well catered for, the books and games came in useful to entertain us in the evening and the local attraction brochures came in useful for during the day although I have to admit we didn't go far because there was so much to see, do and eat on our door step, thanks for the tip about the real ale in the Bullers Arms we managed to work our way through them. We did our best to work are way through the menu at the Smugglers Cott Restaurant just opposite. My thanks also goes to the excellent cleaner, the beds were so comfortable, the bedding was crisp and fresh and the towels white fluffy and exceptionally large. Cleanliness is one of the things we look for when we are away, its such a relief when you arrive if things are as they should be. My disabled mother was impressed that, in the lounge there was plenty of room for her walker and good sturdy handrails up that fantastic stair case that had us all laughing. You really provide everything that you could want, having stayed in many places before we came armed with spare toilet paper and washing up liquid and all those essentials only to find you had provided them.
Without a doubt, the five of us have wonderful memories of this holiday which will stay with us for a long time, All being well including my mother we will visit again, there was a couple of books that we only read half of and would like to finish.
Your holiday cottage was a joy to us all, please keep it just they way it is so others can experience its charm."

Just to let you know we had a great time in Cornwall. The cottage has a brand new visitors book with its first entry filled in! Good luck with the new season - Smugglers Cottage is a real winner and you were quite right about the Ship Inn...extremely child friendly and always very good service. |

We very much enjoyed our stay - the cottage was ideally placed and the girls loved the beach access. We spent most time on the beach - even in the rain at one point - and the weather was generally very kind to us. Our girls also liked your childrens books. It was great to be able to go to the beach and pop back for things. |

Your
cottage is enchanting. It still has that quintessential air about it as
nothing much has been changed. I loved the uneven floors and winding staircase,
even if it made everyone dizzy! Beds were very comfortable, everything
was lovely and clean thank you.

chips! Thank you.

This
is our first holiday in England for 10 years, we have had a lovely time
weather has been dry and hot, cottage is first class, recommend Smugglers
Cot for their Friday night roast. All the staff at the Ship Inn made us
very welcome, food also good there. Thank You

"Dave's Diner" for excellent fish & chips (and I'm fussy!). Best Chinese in the world next to "Buller's Arms". Our 3rd year in Looe - why go abroad ?? |

Went
great Mike. Can't complain about the weather either, in fact too hot was
the cry !
Time goes too fast though. |

I
would just like to thank you as the cottage was brilliant to stay in.
We all had a lovely relaxed holiday. Managed to survive the heatwave.
Looe was beautiful as always. The old fashioned stlye of the cottage,
with the pirate, smugglers and fishermans feel with the uneven floor and
low ceilings. It's a superb experience that fits in with the town to give
a real British seaside holiday experience indoors and out, with history,
culture and character.
Thanks again for the brilliant holiday cottage. It is well looked after. |
|
Your
Cottage was lovely, in a very nice place, so near the beach and shops.
We looked for Christmas but you are booked up. I will keep your number
for next year .

We enjoyed our stay at the Cottage, it is very well sited. If we all get down to Looe again, your's will be the lst place i will try to book. |
|
Thanks we had a

get home after a night out. We had a great meal at Smugglers Cott. We
may be back next year as I took lots of great photos which I managed to

We
had a lovely time in Looe. We loved your cottage and would like to go
back at some point. What we appreciated about Looe is how unspoilt it
it. We didn't go far, just potted around the town and along the beaches.

The cottage was
excellent, we were very lucky with the weather. I would certainly recommend
to friends, being in the middle of the town and a short walk from the
beach was fantastic.
